Previous aircraft London Calling lost on Sterkrade mission. London Calling II lost on Wanne-Eickel mission. Lionheart lost on Hanau mission. Lionheart II lost on Osnabruck mission. Laggards lost on Dortmund mission.
Mission Reports -
Mission 16 - In Zone 2, Leader got a recall result and subsequent Spoof Raid. We continued to Zone 5 and encounter night fighters but avoided contact and made our way home without loss.
Mission 17 - Very smooth mission, the new moon help out quite a bit to avoid searchlights and were not spotted by them until the ride home. We did encounter light AA but no hits were taken. Night fighters must have been drawn away as we had a clear run to the target and back. Bomb run was good scoring most of our bombs right on target.
Mission 18 - Ride in was good no encounters, bombed on target 50%, rumored fighters on the way out, but we did not encounter any on the way out.
Mission 19 - Made it back to base moderate damage from flak over Germany, No night fighters encountered.
Mission 20 - A long flight to Norway to make sure the Germans don't try to reinforce the dying Fatherland. Trip out was uneventful, no night fighters and no AAA despite being picked up on radar. Maybe they have given up. Drop the bombs and headed home. On target 20%
