Campaign 3 Mission Reports

Mission 2 - First mission of the all Canadian crew. Take-off weather was poor but no issues with the takeoff or gaining position in the stream. Detected by Kammhuber in Zone 2 and 3, with night fighters not detecting us until zone 3. First night fighter was JU 88G-7 attacking using Schlage musik causing superficial damage to the plane and slightly wounding Sgt Sill. The night fighter was engaged and destroyed by Sgt Haisell using the ventral MG. Pilot seen bailing out of the plane. The second attack by a JU 88 C-6 also using Schlage musik, hit the plane with walking fire knocking out the O2 for W/T, navigator and tail sections. The JU lost contact just before the bomb run. The run in was uneventful hitting the target with 20% success. The return run was conducted at low altitude and was uneventful.
Mission 4 - Mid-air collision with unidentified bomber put rear turret guns out of action. Managed to avoid detection until return leg in Z4 when 2 x ME 110 noted in area. The Flieger pilots did not detect our bomber. Landed safely with no casualties
