The book will be the third volume covering the history of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251 from 1992 to the its deactivation in April 2020. Operations over Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan will be covered, as well as the tragic incident at the Vieques Bombing Range in Puerto Rico.
Research and writing are in progress.
Volume one of the squadron's history, When Photo Recon Became Fighter Duty, (2016) covers the squadron's actions during World War II. Volume two, Keeping the Peace, (2023) covers the squadron's activities from 1946-1991 - the Cold War.
